Hello everyone,
I hope you’re having a good week. This weekend, we look forward to welcoming Father Tom Dufner to our parish. Father Dufner will be speaking about adoration and inviting the parish to commit to spending time before the Eucharist, if you are not already doing so. Father Dufner is pastor of Epiphany in Coon Rapids, one of the largest parishes in our Archdiocese.
Thank you to all of you who spend time in our chapel. I know you know already what a blessing it is to have that time of prayer and quiet before Jesus in the Eucharist. Please join me in encouraging others to experience this great blessing in a special way this year. There is nothing more important that we can do for our families, our loved ones, our parish, and ourselves than put prayer as a priority in our lives. Thank you too once again to Peter and Anna Maria Jude for all of their many years of coordinating the adoration chapel and their time spent in prayer.
This year, we are hoping that many people will try to spend time in the adoration chapel, especially those that might not already be doing so. While we hope you will be able to commit to an hour every week, any time that you can spend, with or without a commitment, would be great. As a reminder, there are substitutes available for when you are unable to fulfill your commitment or when you are out of town. If you feel that you are too busy by yourself, you could consider taking turns as a family or with your spouse or perhaps with a good friend of your’s. It is such a blessing to pray before the Lord in this way, and my hope is that everyone in our parish will experience it.
Again, we look forward to welcoming Father Dufner this weekend, and I hope you and your family will prayerfully consider spending time in the chapel with the Lord.
